Many Bollywood movies have been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and we may have to wait for them until the situation comes under control. However, some films were going to be released this year but were postponed. Let’s take a glance.

 

Thalaivi

Starring Kangna Ranaut Thalaivi is a biographical film that was going to be released on 23rd April, but due to the second wave of Coronavirus, the makers of the film decided to postpone it. The film’s story is based on Jayalalithaa, who has served Tamil Nadu six times as chief minister.

 

Gangubai Kathiawadi

Starring Alia Bhatt Gangubai Kathiawadi is a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film that may release on July 30. Earlier, Priyanka Chopra was considered for the leading role in the movie, but eventually, the role was given to Alia Bhatt. However, the film’s release date is still uncertain, and it may be released on the OTT platform.

 

Satyameva Jayate 2

Satyameva Jayate 2, starring John Abraham, was decided to release on 13th May, but due to the second wave of Covid-19, the makers of the film decided to postpone its release. John Abraham has a double role in the film. However, it is still unclear when the film will be released.

 

Toofan

Toofan is a sports drama film featuring Farhan Akhtar, the film was scheduled to release on 21st May in theatres, but now it will be released on Amazon Prime on the same date. The film shows the story of a belligerent who decides to be a boxer rather than a street fighter. However, the good news is that you can watch this film on Amazon Prime on or after May 21st.

 

Sooryavanshi

Rohit Shetty’s film Sooryavanshi is a sequel of Singham. The movie was scheduled to release on 24th March 2020, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the makers of the film decided to postpone its releases. The film features three big Bollywood actors; Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, and Ranveer Singh.

 

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many Bollywood films have been postponed, and their releases are uncertain. However, they will be released when everything becomes normal. Till then, stay safe!
