Chef Amninder Sandhu Has Brought Revolution In The Culinary World
Chef Amninder Sandhu has received the best lady chef award in 2016 from the Ministry Of Tourism. Again in 2019, she was labeled ‘Girl with Golden Hands’ by legendary chef Marco Pierre White. Besides she has also bagged prestigious culinary awards from National and international platforms.
Amninder Sandhu Masterchef India perfected her culinary skills at IHM Aurangabad and Knightsbridge PME School of cake decoration in UK. She has been associated with the Taj group of hotels before starting with stand-alone restaurants. In the year 2020 just before the nationwide lockdown, Amninder Sandhu husband helped her launch delivery-only kitchen to bring food to the Mumbaikers.
She is determined to introduce quality and authentic dishes which one can order from home while eliminating the high expenses of a restaurant. Chef Sandhu menu includes the culinary gems she has discovered during her travels across India. She is known for her signature slow-cooked dishes that have a unique and rustic flavor to them. Amninder Sandhu started her journey with gas-less cooking back in 2017. Since then she has been weaving extraordinary culinary examples on charcoal, tandoor, sandpits, and sigdis. Alongside Iktara, she has also launched another delivery kitchen in Pune and Mumbai named Ammu.
Her menu comprises Lakshmi Chauk Kadai Mutton, a dish that takes inspiration from a shop in Lahore Pakistan. It is slow-cooked meat on a cast iron. Another popular dish is chicken legs stuffed with keema. Amninder Sandhu Arth has cooked 3000 of these at the Meatopia London 2019 where it received a lot of appreciation. Foodies can get a taste of Paneer Kofta and Rice Dosa that takes inspiration from her travel across the country. One of her family’s heirloom dishes is mutton cooked in bamboo and rice wrapped in Alpinia leaves. Over the years Sandhu has been into the deepest places of the country and has learned cooking techniques and recipes from different tribes.
