Ingredients Used in Jaggery Jamun

  • Jaggery - 2.5 kilos
  • Khoya - 500 grams
  • Maida - 175 grams
  • Cooking Soda - 1.5 tsp
  • Cardamom Powder - 5 grams
  • Water - 1.5 liters
  • Sunflower Refined Oil: ½ Liter

Method

Step 1: Make a nice dough by mixing maida, khoya, cooking soda, cardamom powder, and water.   Step 2: Leave the dough aside for a few minutes. Then start making small dumplings from it.   Step 3: Heat the sunflower oil in a deep Kadai, and once the oil is hot, start putting the dumplings into it.   Step 4: Keep frying the dumplings until they are golden brown.   Step 5: Once your fried dumplings are ready, you can start making the jaggery syrup by putting grated jaggery in a saucepan. Then, add around ten spoons of water.   Step 6: Melt the jaggery on low heat. Check the consistency and add more water if needed.   Step 7: Then add your golden brown dumplings to the jaggery syrup.   In this way, your jaggery jamun will be ready to serve hot on Eid.
