Most of the time that we spend hitting the gym and working out, we pay little to no attention to post-workout stretching and walk out of the gym just after completing our workout. Since we don’t give enough time to our muscles to relax, we end up having chronic pain from tightened muscles and joints. Here are the yoga poses that can accelerate your healing process after a severe gym injury:

Downward-Facing Dog or Adho Mukha Svanasana

This pose is quite effective as it stretches your whole body right from wrists, hands, arch of the foot, hamstrings, back, and shoulders. Apart from relaxing your body muscles, the pose also helps in lowering stress and blood pressure. 

Custom Cobra or Bhujangasana

The custom cobra pose is a back-bending stretch that is perfect for treating upper and lower back injuries. The pose helps to build strength and flexibility in your body along with treating your back muscles. After doing the pose, your arms and back will feel relaxed. 

Mountain Pose or Tadasana

This yoga pose is one of the best poses for treating knee and ankle injuries. Predominantly, we suffer from gym injuries due to performing exercises in the wrong posture, which leads to many injuries. Tadasana helps in promoting good posture and also develops better balance. 

Boat Pose or Navasana

Well, the boat pose works like magic when it comes to treating tight hip flexors. Along with treating the injuries, it also helps in strengthening your core muscles. The Navasana pose restores range of motion, strengthen injured muscles and release the tightness.
