Delhi Government In Turmoil As Several MLAs Remain Absent Hours Before The Party Meeting

Amid political tensions rising due to the recent raids by the CBI, Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor cum Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal called an urgent meeting of the AAP MLAs at his residence on Thursday. However, hours before the meeting, several MLAs remained untraceable as revealed by the sources. However, the lost MLAs were later found out of Delhi so they joined the meeting virtually.  On Wednesday, CM Kejriwal called for the meeting of the MLAs on Thursday to deliberate the current political scenario and recent raids by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). In addition to the party meeting, CM Kejriwal-led Delhi government has called a special session of the Assembly amid the tense political scenario. Hyderabad Protests: Over 100 Protestors Detained And Multiple FIRs Lodged Against BJP MLA T Raja Singh

Following the release of the MLA T Raja Singh from police custody, the waves of protest continued to topple the city for the third consecutive day. As of now, the police have detained more than 120 protestors from various localities on Wednesday. On Wednesday night, massive crowds gathered near Shalibanda to demand the re-arrest of Raja Singh, who was released by the lower court. The local court released Raja Singh as it observed irregularities in the arrest of the suspended BJP MLA. Adani Needs Regularity Nod To Buy Its Share, Says NDTV

On Thursday, New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) said Adani Group requires regulatory approval to buy its biggest shareholding position, as its founders are not allowed to trade in security markets. Earlier on Tuesday, billionaire Gautam Adani's group said it was looking to buy NDTV's biggest shareholding position. Amid the calls for the company's selling, NDTV said the action by the Adani Group "was executed without any input from, conversation with, or consent of the NDTV founders". As per the sources, NDTV founders Radhika and Prannoy Roy took a 4 billion rupee loan from little-known financing firm VCPL 10 years back and, in exchange for that loan, issued warrants allowing VCPL to buy 29.18% of the media channel. Covid-Bulletin: India Logs 10,725 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 98.60%

According to the latest data released by the union health ministry, India has registered 10,725 new covid-19 cases in the previous 24 hours. With this tally, the active caseload of India currently stands at 94,047. Meanwhile, daily recoveries counted the figure of 13,084 in the last 24 hours. With this tally, the total recoveries have reached 4,37,57,385. The daily and weekly positivity rates stand at 2.73% and 3.20%, respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 88.39 crore covid-19 tests so far.
