Noida Woman Arrested For Misbehaving And Abusing A Security Guard

The Noida woman who misbehaved and abused the security guard of her society was arrested and later sent to 14-day judicial custody by the local court in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The woman has been identified as Bhavya Rai, a Jaypee Wish Town resident in Noida sector 128. Earlier, on Sunday morning, a video went viral on social media platforms in which the accused (Bhavya) was seen beating and abusing a security guard who was only a few minutes late to open the society door. Soon after the incident, the victim went to the police station and filed an FIR against the Noida woman. As per the complaint, the police started the investigation and booked Bhavya under sections 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) 505(2), and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC. https://twitter.com/AdityaRajKaul/status/1561340547079421952

Bilkis Bano Case: SC Ready To Examine The Remission Of 11 Convicts 

The remission granted to 11 convicts by the Gujarat government in the Bilkis Bano case was challenged before the Supreme Court on Tuesday. A bench comprising Chief Justice of India NV Ramanna agreed to look into the matter after lawyer Aparna Bhat submitted an application seeking an urgent listing of the matter on Wednesday.  Similarly, senior advocate Kapil Sibal mentioned the matter, citing, "The Supreme Court gave a discretion to the government to consider the matter. Here, we are challenging the remission, not the order of the apex court". Initially, the plea before the apex court was submitted by TMC MP Mahua Moitra, members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Subhashini Ali, journalist Revati Laul, and social activist and professor Roop Rekha Verma. Hyderabad Police Arrested BJP MLA T Raja For Allegedly Repeating Nupur Sharma's Comment In A Social Media Post

Hyderabad city police on Tuesday arrested BJP legislator from Ghoshamahal constituency T Raja for his alleged remarks against Prophet Mohammad. According to sources, the controversial statements were intentionally made by the MLA to outrage the religious feelings of a particular community. Earlier, the legislator had uploaded a video on YouTube in which he allegedly referred to a particular community and to a stand-up comedy show by Munawar Faruqi in Hyderabad. As the video went viral, several activists of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) staged protests in parts of the Old City, demanding the legislator's arrest. Russian Forces Held IS Terrorist Who Was Plotting To Carry Suicide Bombing In India

Russian Federal Security Service held an Islamic State member for allegedly planning a suicide bombing attack in India. According to the Russian news agency, the arrested individual has confessed that he was preparing an act of terror targeting "one of the representatives of the ruling circles in India".  In custody, the detained terrorist accepted that he planned to execute the act in the wake of the row triggered by remarks by the suspended BJP leader. As mentioned by the sources, the arrested individual was recruited by one of the IS leaders as a suicide bomber in Turkey. Following the recruitment, the terrorist was brainwashed and later provided with training on Turkish soil.  After arresting the terrorist, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said that its officers had detained a suicide bomber of the Islamic State terrorist group while plotting a terrorist attack against one of India's elite leaders. https://twitter.com/CNNnews18/status/1561908795122806784

Covid-Bulletin: India Logs 8,586 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 98.59%

According to the latest data released by the union health ministry, India has registered 8,586 new covid-19 cases in the previous 24 hours. The active caseload of India currently stands at 96,506. Meanwhile, daily recoveries counted the figure of 9,680 in the last 24 hours. With this tally, the total recoveries have reached 4,37,33,624. The daily and weekly positivity rates stand at 2.19% and 3.31%, respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 88.31 crore covid-19 tests so far.
