The concluded election witnessed a tough competition between NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu and Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.

Expectations From The President Election 2022

With the election's conclusion on Monday, all eyes are set on witnessing the presidential election 2022 results. It is because the opposition parties unanimously agreed to contest Yashwant Sinha as their candidate. Sinha, who served in the NDA government for a long time, gave up his rank after experiencing shift in the BJP’s ideologies under the leadership of the Narendra Modi led government. The recently concluded election process reflected a tough competition between both candidates. Draupadi Murmu, if elected as the president, will be the first women president of India who belongs to a Dalit background. Earlier, she served a full term as the Governor of Jharkhand. In contrast to Draupadi, if Sinha is elected as the Rashtrapati, he will make policy-making a little difficult task for the ruling NDA party. It is because Sinha is an active critic of the Narendra Modi-led government's policies and frameworks.

What Are Early Trends Coming After The Election Process?

As per the early trends storming Twitter, a significant proportion of voters (elected representatives) showed their support for the NDA fielded candidate Draupadi Murmu. However, no one can say anything before the final results. It is because the entire Opposition colluded to give their support to their fielded candidate Yashwant Sinha. Now, all parties are waiting eagerly for July 21, 2022, when the final results will come out. The results will decide the 15th president of India.

When Will New President Take Charge As 15th President Of India?

As per the election's schedule, the elected representative will take charge as the 15th president of India just four days after the commencement of election results, i.e., on July 25, 2022. The process of charge-taking will be carried out after the oath-taking ceremony.
