Confirmed: Leicester City Complete Signing of Patson Daka

The Euro 2020 tournament is going on at present. However, the transfer window is also open at present. Keeping that in mind, the Premier League clubs are pushing to get deals over the line. One such club is Leicester City that has signed another player. According to reports, the Foxes have completed the signing of Patson Daka in a £23m deal. The player has signed a five-year contract with the club from England. RB Salzburg has decided to sell their prized asset to Leicester City, who were looking for more options upfront. The 22-year-old forward is a Zambian international and was wanted by quite a few top clubs. Despite the interest, the player has now decided to make the move to the KP Stadium.

Leicester City Has Started Strongly In The Transfer Window Already; Can They Finish In The Top Four Next Season?

After failing to finish in the top four in the previous two campaigns, Brendan Rodgers and co. are keen to push for a Champions League spot this time around. Leicester City is looking serious in the transfer market and is trying its luck out. After winning the FA Cup last term, they are keen on pushing for more titles and are looking to make an impact. Even though it will not be easy to compete with some of the top clubs from the Premier League, Rodgers and co. can upset quite a few of these teams. That is what they did when they won England's oldest cup competition. However, for that to happen, they will need to sign more players. Also, the Euros and the upcoming World Cup could also impact their performance in the league. A lot of players could be fatigued and may need more rest. With that being said, Leicester City needs to reinforce their squad and fast. Hopefully, the signing of Daka is the right direction and it can help them achieve their long-term goals. The kid is still quite young but has the quality. He can surely be moulded into a top player.
