PSL Will Resume On June 9, Final To Be Played On June 24


It has been confirmed now that the PSL 2021 tournament will be resumed on the 9th of June. The tournament will be continued in the UAE. It was halted due to the increase in the number of cases of Covid-19 amongst the franchises. Despite that, the sixth season of the PSL will now be resuming, as confirmed by a recent report. Further, it has been updated that the final is set for the 24th of June. As confirmed, the tournament will be finished in Abu Dhabi. It will not be moved to Sharjah, which was previously being speculated by certain recent reports that had come out in the media.

What Are The Exact Details For The PSL 2021 Tournament?

The updated schedule means that there will be a total of six double-headers. There will be early games starting at 5 pm Abu Dhabi time. Further, there will be evening matches at 10 pm local time. The single matches will be starting at 8 pm, which is a new change that has been added now.
The rest of the games will be from the 9th of June to the 19th. These will include the remaining league games, the Qualifiers and the first Eliminator, which is to be played on the 21st of June. Further, the second Eliminator will be played on the 22nd of June and the final on the 24th of June 24.
Wasim Khan, the PCB chief executive made a recent statement, updating the fans about the fate of the PSL. He said, "Since its inception back in 2016, the HBL PSL has embraced and overcome numerous challenges, only to emerge as a stronger and competitive league year on year."
"The enhancement and credibility of the brand remain critical to the PCB. I am pleased that we have continued to take decisive actions in the face of ongoing pressures. Major challenges outside of our control over the last 10 days. Everyone has worked tirelessly to find solutions and a way forward, and I am delighted that we are now in a position to announce the complete schedule."
