It’s A Shoot Wrap For Adipurush; To Hit The Theatres In Mid-2022
On Wednesday, filmmaker Om Raut took to Instagram and announced the final wrap of the much-awaited film Adipurush. Mr Raut wrote: “It’s a shoot wrap for Adipurush!!! A wonderful journey has come to its finish line. Can’t wait to share with you the magic we have created. #Adipurush #103DaysOfShoot #SaifAliKhan #BhushanKumar #TSeries,”
The period saga and magnum opus Adipurush is the recreation of the Hindu epic Ramayana wherein Prabhas will essay the role of Lord Ram, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and Kriti Sanon as Janaki. The team of Adipurush finished the shoot in 103 days and are now waiting eagerly to bring out the film in theatres and let the audience experience Ramayana in a grand form.
Helmed by Tanhaji fame, Om Raut, Adipurush’s shooting began earlier in Mumbai, and now the movie is in the post-production stage. More information regarding the film is expected to be released soon. The mythological drama will be produced by T-Series Films and Retrophiles with Kharthik Palani cranking the camera and Apurva Motiwale and Ashish Mhatre at the editing desk. Along with Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, Vatsal Sheth, and Devdatta Nage are also a part of the grand project.
Actor Sunny Singh also took to Instagram and wrote: “These pictures spell love and mean the world to me! Speak volumes of a bind shared; my dad, came to visit us on the set on the last day of our shoot. Can’t believe this beautiful journey of #Adipurush has come to an end. After Baahubali, the audience is expecting a lot from Prabhas. Apart from Adipurush, Prabhas will be seen in the upcoming film Radhe Shyam which was scheduled to be released in 2020. The actor also has many projects lined up, including Nag Ashwin’s Project K, Prashanth Neel’s Salaar and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. On the work front, Kriti Sanon has begun shooting for her upcoming film Ganapath along with Tiger Shroff.
Adipurush is slated to release on 11th August 2022 and will witness a box office clash with Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan. The multi-lingual project will be released in 5 languages, including Hindi, Telegu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada. Apart from some initial hurdles, Adipurush’s release has been postponed several times due to the covid-19 pandemic. However, with the situation becoming better and theatres opening up, we will finally be able to witness the magnum opus remake of Ramayana along with a stellar cast.
