Baba Ramdev’s Yogasanas, Home Remedies For Covid-19

As the country is witnessing the third wave of a novel coronavirus, people are getting concerned for their near and dear ones along with praying every day that covid-19 doesn’t knock on the door of their homes. Though we all are doing something or other to keep the virus away, spiritual leader and yoga guru Baba Ramdev shared yogasanas, home remedies and ayurvedic medicines that will boost our immunity and keep our lungs healthy.

Here are some of the tips shared by Baba Ramdev:

Having the problem of cough right now can make you prone to getting infected from covid-19. To get rid of it, you can have ayurvedic medicines like Kanthamrit, Lavangadi Vati or Khadiradi Vati. Baba Ramdev said that one can take clove, pepper, liquorice, turmeric, ginger, rock sugar, figs and eat them raw as it helps in reducing the intensity of your cough. Rubbing the Patanjali balm at the chest area will also help to reduce the cough. You can take other ayurvedic medicines like Swasari on an empty stomach or two capsules of Swasari Gold with honey.

If you are a diabetic patient, take the Swasari Gold with honey in lukewarm water.

Baba Ramdev instructed everyone who is facing the problem of cough to stop having anything except chana, dry grapes, dates or figs. If you are feeling very hungry, you can take roti or chilla made of gram flour (besan). Baba Ramdev also claimed that following these tips can also eliminate the problem of chronic asthma.

Today, we are exposed to such negative news that even if you are not suffering from covid-19, you can have numerous physical health problems like burning sensation in your chest or headache; Baba Ramdev suggested a lot of tips like :

  • You can take ayurvedic medicines like Moti Pishti, Mukta Shukti with honey or Medha Vati.
  • You can soak almonds and walnuts overnight and eat them the following day.
  • You can soak dry grapes and figs in water overnight and eat them the next morning. You can drink the water as well.
  • You can take wheat grass, aloe vera and bottle gourd juice.
  • You can soak cumin seeds, coriander seeds, anise in water overnight and drink the water the next morning.
  • You can have wood apple juice (Bael Sharbat)

Apart from sharing these tips, he also advised everyone to do yogasanas like sheetkari pranayama, anulom-vilom pranayama, kapalbhati, bhramari, bhastrika to treat problems such as Hypertension, BP, Migraine, Insomnia etc. These yogasanas will help in improving blood circulation and calming your mind.
