Election Results: BJP Wins In 4 States; PM Modi Calls It ‘Jeet Ka Chauka’

The Assembly Elections 2022 results were announced late evening yesterday, with the Bhartiya Janata Party emerging victorious in 4 states, except Punjab. In Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath created history by winning another 5-year term, and the BJP became the first party to retain power in UP since 1985. After winning the election, Yogi Adityanath said: “The BJP’s double engine government, in the past five years, created an atmosphere of security and gave respect to faith,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi described BJP’s win in 4 states as ‘Jeet Ka Chauka’. While the BJP achieved a thumping majority in Uttar Pradesh, the Aam Aadmi Party created history by winning the elections in a crucial state like Punjab. 

Covid-Bulletin: India Registers 4,194 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 98.70%

According to the latest data released by the union health ministry, the country has registered 4,194 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload of the country currently stands at 42,219. Meanwhile, daily recoveries continue to outnumber active covid-19 cases, with recording 6,208 recoveries in the previous 24 hours. The total recoveries in India have reached 4,24,26,328. The daily and weekly positivity rates stand at 0.52% and 0.55%, respectively. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has conducted 77.68 crore covid-19 tests so far. On the vaccination front, India has administered 179.72 crore covid-19 vaccine doses so far under the nationwide vaccination drive. 

No Chemical Or Any Other Weapons of Mass Destruction Were Developed On My Land Says Volodymyr Zelensky 

In the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, Russia recently accused Ukraine of conducting research into the development of biological weapons. Denying the allegations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted a video on Friday which said: “I am the President of an adequate country, an adequate nation. And the father of two children. And no chemical or any other weapons of mass destruction were developed on my land,” “The whole world knows that. You know that. And if Russia does something like that against us, it will get the most severe sanctions response,” he added. For the unversed, on Thursday, Russian Defence Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov claimed that the Ministry has obtained documents that have details of US Military-biological activities in Ukraine and also added that the research is being done to establish a mechanism for the stealthy spread of deadly pathogens“Bio-laboratories set up and funded in Ukraine have been experimenting with bat coronavirus samples,” said Konashenkov.

On Thursday night, Hrithik Roshan took to social media and shared the news about his upcoming film Fighter. He wrote: “September 28th… 2023,” The makers of Fighter featuring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor have locked the date for the much-awaited film. The film is being helmed by Sidharth Anand and was announced on Hrithik’s birthday last year. Fighter is set to become the first Indian film to explore the genre of aerial action.

Going by the early reviews, Radhe Shyam is a hit, and fans are loving the stellar performance by both Prabhas and Pooja Hegde.
