Hindus Can Celebrate Ganesh Puja At Idgah Maidan, Observed Karnataka HC
On Tuesday’s ruling, the High Court of Karnataka refused to interfere with the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) decision that permitted the celebration of Ganesh Puja at the Idgah Maidan in Hubbali.
A bench led by Justice Ashok S Kingai passed the order on a petition filed by Anjuman-e-Islam, Hubballi. In its findings, the court observed that the issue of the Hubballi Idgah Maidan differs from that of the Chamarajpet Idgah Maidan in Bengaluru, for which the Supreme Court passed an order to maintain the status quo on the premises.
The HC bench also noted that the ownership of the Chamarajpet Idgah Maidan in Bangalore is a disputed matter. In contrast, HDMC retains the ownership title of the Hubbali Maidan. Hence, the HDMC can take a call to decide whether to do Ganesh Puja on the premises or not.
With the passage of the HC orders, members of the Hindu community placed an idol of lord Ganesha at the Idgah Maidan. And to prevent any disturbances in the region, the administration has deployed police forces at the Idgah Maidan.
Karnataka High Court upheld authorities' decision to allow #GaneshChaturthi at Eidgah ground at Hubbali-Dharwad, rejects pleas challenging permission for allowing the rituals here.

MLAs Shifted To Raipur Amid Political Crisis In Jharkhand
The political situation in Jharkhand is worsening day by day. In the latest advancement, the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) coalition in Jharkhand shifted as many as 31 MLAs to the Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh to prevent attempts by the BJP to poach its legislators in the state.
According to sources, the MLAs flew to Raipur on a chartered flight from Ranchi, where they were taken to Mayfair Resort in Nava Raipur. The reports added that the MLAs belong to the Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). These MLAs are expected to stay in the resort for two to four weeks.
Learning about the advancements, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel visited the resort around 9:30 pm. While Congress leaders Girish Dewangan, Sunny Agrawal, and Ramgopal Agrawal received the MLAs at the airport and accompanied them to the resort.
Over the last few days, the political stability in the state has been going through tough times, as the Opposition BJP asked the Jharkhand Governor to disqualify Chief Minister Hemant Soren from his post. This created political turmoil in the state. Therefore, the leadership of the ruling alliance decided to take MLAs away from the state to prevent defection attempts.
