Karnataka MLA BS Yediyurappa’s Granddaughter Allegedly Commits Suicide
Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Bhartiya Janata Party leader BS Yediyurappa’s granddaughter was found dead at her home in Bengaluru today. BS Yediyurappa’s granddaughter allegedly died by suicide. Soundarya was a practicing doctor at the MS Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru and she was in her early 30’s.
BS Yediyurappa’s granddaughter got married two years ago. According to the Bengaluru police, Soundarya was living with her husband who is a fellow doctor and with her 6-months-old child at an apartment near Mount Carmel College. The police is suspecting it to be a suicide and have registered a case of unnatural death. However, there is no confirmation of any death note yet. Soundarya was the daughter of BS Yediyurappa’s eldest daughter Padma.

The Bengaluru police said that as soon as the family found out about the incident, Soundarya was taken to a private hospital. However, it was too late and doctors could not save her. Some sources have cited that Soundarya showed signs of post-pregnancy depression. The news have shocked the entire state. After getting the news, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai rushed to the hospital with his cabinet colleagues.

Soundarya’s body has been taken to the Bowring Hospital for autopsy and further details are awaited.
