Product Review: Lakme Absolute Precision Lip Paint
When it comes to lipsticks, Lakme has somewhat hit it right with the Indian audience. To be honest, one can never get enough lipsticks, and the quest never ends. Indian market is filled with bullet and liquid lipsticks but what we don’t see much are lip paints. Lakme recently launched the Absolute Precision Lip Paint with 10 intense shades that will suit the Indian skin tone. Lip paints are pretty new to the block, but as the product’s name suggests, they do provide a lot of precision in defining your lips.
The question that might strike your mind is whether you should invest in Lakme’s Lip Paint, or they aren’t worth it! Well, keep on reading as we sit down to give you a befitting review of Lakme’s Absolute Precision Lip Paint (We care for you & your money!)
What Does The Product Claim? Lakme’s Absolute Precision Lip Paint claims to perfectly define your lips, giving you intense matte lips and give you a smooth and velvety finish in just one swipe. The product also claims to have a lightweight formula and doesn’t leave your lips dry and chapped. The product comes in 10 intense shades and gives your lips a superior definition.
The Applicator: Lakme Absolute Precision Lip Paint comes with an expert brush that lets you paint your lips like an expert. You can dip the expert brush in the pot and define your lips with ease. The applicator comes in matte black colour and is made of plastic. The bristles of the lip brush are soft and are not harsh on your lips. The expert brush is not too hard or too soft and is cut slightly U-shape to allow a better application of the lip colour.
The Shade Range: Lakme as a cosmetic brand has received a lot of flak for not keeping up the shades with the different skin tone that exists in the Indian market. However, recently all the new launches by Lakme have a pretty good shade range. The Lakme Absolute Precision Lip Paint comes in 10 intense shades from bold reds, plums to dark nude colours to ensure that there is something for everyone.
The Packaging: The product comes in cardboard packaging in black and red colour. The shade name and the shade number is mentioned at the back of the packaging. The lip colour comes in a black matte coloured jar, and the expert brush is in matte black colour and looks sleek like a pencil. The lip brush is made of plastic and comes with a plastic cap.
The Price: The Lakme Absolute Precision Lip Paint retails for INR 650, containing 3g of product. (*currently on Nykaa)
Our Verdict: Though Lakme has never been good with the shade range, this time, the cosmetic company has aced the shade range with 10 powerful shades. The product has a complete matte pay off, but it doesn’t leave your lips dry and chapped. The product does claim that it provides a great payoff in just one swipe. However, that doesn’t stand entirely true as you need to dip the brush at least 2-3 times to get an intense payoff. The product is also not wholly transfer-proof, but it is manageable. The company also wins it on the lip applicator as the bristles are quite soft, and the colour can be applied very nicely. Coming to the pricing factor, Lakme seals the deal as compared to other lip paints available in the Indian market, Lakme has kept a reasonable price. If you don’t have lip paints, you can invest in the Lakme Absolute Precision Lip Paint.
